As Mr. Stewart and I woke up this morning we laid in bed thinking about all the different ways we could make it to NOLA and no one would miss us. Unfortunately we awoke and headed to work instead, but how much fun would it have been to have hopped on a plane and headed to one of our favorite places, New Orleans!
We visited New Orleans two summers ago and I fell in love with the city. Not sure if it was because it was our first trip away alone in a long time or if it was just the city. I have heard my whole life how nasty it is. My dad went to banking school there in the summer when I was small and I can remember him graduating and my parents not wanting me to go because they said "it wasn't a place for kids". Well after my trip a couple of years ago I certainly agree, it certainly isn't a place for children. And I'm not quiet sure Jesus is very known throughout the city, but the positive thing about NOLA is the culture. It takes a hold of you like non other. The history is also so interesting!
Even though we didn't make it to Mardi Gras this year we decided today we are going to make plans to go around that time next year. I would love to watch some of the parades and see what all of the hype is about. I have found myself on several live web cams today watching all of the people. I can't imagine how much fun they are having, I'm excited for them just sitting on my couch!.
If you ever get the chance to visit New Orleans just once you should give it a try. It is probably not for everyone but I love, love it!
Good luck on getting lots of BeAds!! :)
